With a range of regionally sourced cleaning products such as Bio D, based in Hull, and shampoos and soaps from family-run Bury company, Faith, we believe that beauty needn't be beastly and cleaning shouldn't affect your conscience!
We support businesses with similar ethics to our own, such as Blue Moonstone, a Sale based company who hand-make moisturisers, and Essentially Natural from Ramsbottom in Lancashire who produce soaps, handmade deodorants, and shampoo & shaving bars from organic ingredients like nettle and chamomile. Both re-use the glass containers they package their products in - just drop them off here at the shop. Sonnett, a German company with fantastic eco-credentials, base their products on the principle of caring for water as an essential resource. Purely Skincare are based in Bolton and make a lovely range of shower gels, haircare, face wash and moisturiser in organic grapefrut & lemongrass, organic palmarosa & lavendar and organic elemi & clary sage.
Don't be fooled by the cheap 'Eco' household and bodycare products appearing at the supermarkets. Often containing ingredients like butylphenyl methylpropional, compared to products from Bio-d and Sonett their eco-credentials just don't add up! It's better to use a good quality product sparingly than to splash loads of a cheap one down the drain and into the aquatic system
