Packed Goods
 We
have a range of about 200 packed goods and we pack them into various
sizes of degradable bags from 100g to 5kg. Each week we may produce
between 6000 - 8000 bags from our small packing room at the back
of the store for sale in our shop. This range provides a wide variety of staple cooking ingredients for really good value meals, including pulses, grains, nuts, dried fruits and spices. Many are organic and you’ll find some unusual items like farro grain and wild rice, alongside all the basics. Look out for some great gluten-free grains, flakes and flours too (more info on gluten-free cooking).
The demand for our products have increased to such an extent
that the packing room is never quiet. However, we always endeavour
to keep the shelves full and maintain the highest quality product
for you, and our  packing room ensures that even when the shop
is quiet we can still be busy
producing goods to sell. We only produce a small number of bags
per run, so you can be assured that the packed goods on the shelves
are rotated regularly. Because our packing is 'in-house', we can
pass on the savings to you.
The packing process is kept simple so that we can employ people
with a large range of abilities from a wide sector of the community.
We all enjoy packing and hope you appreciate the hard work that

Did you know that except for the small grip
seal bags all our bags are 100% biodegradable. We minimise
packaging to reduce the impact on our environment. You could
try to compost these bags!
